On the topic of beer, I just discovered one of my new favorites. Holy city pluff mud porter. Yum! If you are laying over in Chs or the Carolinas, try it.

Never heard the term until a couple years ago. Seems to be a CHS/CLT term. Hope the beer smells and tastes better than what it's named after😁

Is there a way I can tell PBS to jam all my trips together so it looks like one big @ss 12 or 13 day trip? I'm assuming PBS would be smart enough to put in 117 rest periods as required since I don't think there is a single 24 hour layover anywhere in NYC 717 flying, but perhaps I could finish a trip at 10am one day then begin my next at 3pm the following day?

Thanks!

EDIT:

would I use something like Pattern: between 10 and 15 days On with 0 days off (minimum) ?

Ok boys, I do not remember who posted the way to calculate your pay for a month when you have vacation. If I remember correctly you are almost always better to bid for reserve. With February having 30 days along with a 7 day vacation, how do I calculate may pay when reserve guarantee is 74.30 hours.

If you could provide radar vectors I would appreciate it.

You could do that, and there are a few other ways too. What you really need to do is call the experts, on the PBS Help Line. They can walk you through it, while you are logged on to Navtech. They can tell you exactly what and how to bid. Do you need the ph. number? It's the same as when calling crew scheds, just listen to all the Scheduling menu options.

There is an excel spreadsheet that John Bell made up, works great. PM and I'll get it to you.

For your case, if you bid reserve you'll get paid 78:20 for the month on reserve, have 17 days off and be on call 13 days. If your category has an extra X day, add a day off and subtract an on-call day.
