I've gotta give props to the guys answering the PBS help line phone. Dave just saved me an extra month of reserve by catching a screw-up in my bid. Fear the clear schedule and start next bid on your last bid... Too much cut and paste!

If anyone is interested in a different option in sailing the Caribbean then Chartering feel free to drop me a note via pm. We have a few pilots interested in a high end monohull with 4 to 5 partners. The boat would not be chartered and only for partner use.

PSA: Capts, with all of the hiring going on, when you fly with a fng and they do a good job, please fill out the probation critique. Furthermore, if you fly with one and think they don't, please address this on the spot. Don't tell them what a nice job they did and sack them on the report. Not cool! That is all.
Then again, he also felt the need to coach me through every descent and approach for 4 days despite the fact that I have twice the amount of time on the Mad-Dog that he does.... Hopefully there's a vetting process of some sort for these critiques. |

Short course, 5 sims, 2 year seat lock, total BS.
7ER to 767-400 is a short course but only has a 9 month lock. |

When DALPA sets goals...oh, wait. DALPA only has one goal: "We'll get 'em next time." |

Hey Nerd, what does happen with these critiques? You seem to be more informed about them than most of us.
I don't know what else happens to the comments unless there's an issue that needs to be addressed, but I appreciated reading them though personally I think most Capts are reluctant to be critical. Some examples from mine: "Of all the new first officers I've flown with, he is definitely one of them." "Shows up to most flights. Often on time." "Amazing customer engagement. Ensured they were kept informed by responding to radio calls on the PA." |
