Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
With the emotional toll his four deployments took on him and his family, I'm willing to give him a pass.
Personally, it's very difficult for me to watch movies like this. I don't "enjoy" them. But I watch so I can understand--if only a little--the sacrifices Chris Kyle and his comrades made for us.
ymmv

I agree with everything you said, I have a HUGE amount of respect for everyone that has or is serving in our Armed Forces.
He claims they were getting in fights while they were in training at bars in Coronado and Little Creek before ever being deployed from what I remember. Maybe it was just filler or his ghostwriter took his own literary license to fill in some gaps, I don't know.

Well, less of course. After all, it's obvious there is just no way outsiders can handle that place.....

(disclaimer for the over-sensitive: That post was a joke, responding to a joke, not meant to be true. It also has zero intent to bear any resemblance to, or comment on the performance of, any person or company, in the present, past, or future. You see, there was this thread awhile back started by a bird that was about....well,..never mind you can look for it yourself. It was also not meant to advocate for, imply, suggest, and should not be construed as advocating for, implying, or being in any way suggestive of work place violence.)
Timbo,
I reserve the right to return to my trusted stead as a Mad Dog Commander in the future...thus...I shall, and always will be... "The Dog Whisperer"...not to mention that I can't find anything else that matches my initials...
Just finished my first TOE on the 76 and man...does my head hurt!!! A lot different than following I-20 to Birmingham. May have to get a world map to expand my "Where in the world have I taken a dump?" display, too. DW

Well, I didn't get to see American Sniper... it wasn't at the same theater as "Paddington", which ALSO opened today. I was outvoted 4 to 1 by the rest of the family, so off to Paddington we went.
But! At the last moment as we bought tickets, I saw "Blackhat" was playing at the same time, and was able to send wife and kids into Paddington with sodas and popcorn and smiles, and dodge into "Blackhat". Not sure how I feel about the movie, it was surely a thrill ride though, good action. My wife would have enjoyed Chris Hemsworth more than me, but he did well as action hero without a hammer (Thor). Whole thing takes place in China/Jakarta/Malaysia, gave me a new respect for their burgeoning cities and societies if accurate.

Don't worry, I lived in SEA before I got hired at DAL and after 7+ years, no more commute for now! I wish I could say the same for others that live here, but it is part of the game. After this last AE, I hope they all made it home. Looking how things are moving, you should be able to get out here sometime this year I would think, unless some senior ATL guy wants to try the left coast for awhile
Also I too hated to sit NYC reserve and then commute back to SEA. But much like the military, we need to pay our dues in our new career. I am sure we all have some bad crash pad stories to tell, best over a few beers.... One thing to add about NYC, you might fly with some of the best guys at DAL there, so have some fun!
Cheers and welcome aboard!

Other than that, how did you like flying an airplane with automation that actually WORKS! ?

How was Paddington? Need to take kids to a movie.
I didn't get the joke, but didn't find a beat down by a herring a viable threat

With LAX only having the 737 and the 7ER...and with the 757s eventually going bye bye, does anybody know what equipment or growth LAX will see in the next 5 years? 10 years?
