Nailed it!

Don't forget to bring your french-english dictionary, R1.
Quote: Someone please post Notes from LAX Meeting today.....

Baja.
From a friend at the meeting:

AE next week 25 LAX B717 crews. (Someone owes me a case of Ballast Pt IPA's.)

He also said LA will take new ER & 73 Capt & FO's. Not sure what that means other than maybe he means growth in all categories.

No 777 for now. Maybe late Fall if we keep NRT. If it happens 22-25 crews.

Baja.
Skiing in Bozeman Mt

Don't think he is RSV, otherwise I was thinking the same thing.... but not RSV and working a crapload. To each its own. I know the NYC73B has been zero'd out on staffing since December, and basically continues thru March. Not many newbies in the pipe either. Mas GS to come. CHA-CHING
Quote: Can someone help me out and give me the name of a crew hotel close to LAX that would be suitable for my family (with young children)?
Are you looking for cheap? Then I'd go with The Hacienda in El Segundo. They have shuttle service and I think the crew rate is $85 when all is said and done. You can also Hotwire a three star place. I usually get the Concierge Hotel(old Radisson). if you stay at the Crowne Plaza then the bar peeps give you the 3-2-1 deal no matter which airline you work for.

Bet LAX717A- 80% doesn't break 6000-6500, maybe a few higher for the bottom reserve guys..
Quote: I thought the same thing however the longer range for the 350 makes it a good airframe for DTW, ATL and NYC departures to the Pacific. Marketing will make the call but don't rule out a East base.
The possibility of a joint category with the 330 is also possible. The issue however is the FAA will require you to maintain currency on both airframes.
I bet a case that the routes the 777 are serving out of LA now get replaced with A350s. Gotta take on United in LA with their 787s.
We need a pay scale for the A350 pronto!!!!

I might even bid the right seat just to enjoy the smell of new cockpit, and China!

I'd hate to take a big pay cut though! What's the over/under on wages?

321 has to come first! 7 months from now the first one is coming, and there is no pay rate. There's some leverage for at least an updated contract right there.
Anyone have any gouge on stuff to do in New Zealand? Must sees and what not? Planning on heading down there for a week in mid May with Mrs. 80.
