I thought I knew the answer but I guess I didn't, just looking for clarification. When I want a generic 4 day white slip on the 1 of April what do I put in the box for the date range. I thought I only put in the date apr 1, but I was told in the box (days for flying award) I put in apr 1 to 4. Is that correct? I thought if I put that in I could end up with a four day on the fourth.

Now,now...let's all calm down. I'm still as disappointed as the rest about our last TVM sell job on the last contract.
However, getting wrapped around the axle at this point about a contract that just began to think about taking form today is going to give someone an ulcer. The industry is so much stronger and healthier today, than it was 3 years ago that, it would be suicide for ALPA to send us a contract that is not a lot better than 4/8/3/3.
I will be first in line to get rid of ALPA if this contract is as marginal as the last one. But I still wouldn't vote for DPA.
No offense, but after reading the posts from some of those children on the DALPA message boards, they aren't the answer either, but I think if we don't see healthy improvements in this contract, my question will be, "What do we need a union for?"
This isn't directed at you Jerry. I like your posts, for the most part, and we desperately need more guys like you in this association. But let's at least give the guys a chance and support them, until it's time to kick them out of the house and find new friends. (I hope that day doesn't come) I hope they don't disappoint us again.
If the TA they bring us is weak or doesn't meet our expectations, we vote no, and hopefully enough of us vote no to send it back and we go from there. We have several months between here and there though, so it's way, way, way too early to stress about it now. There is nothing we can do except express our opinions to our reps, and wait for something official.
Edit: I just re-read my post and I saw the words hope and hopefully in there....who was it that said "Hope is not and effective strategy."?

I am in Hong Kong trying to get back to the US tomorrow and they just pulled nonrevs off of the flight today and so I am curious about the chances tomorrow.
Can we jumpseat on the 330 when they are doing 4 pilot legs? Any 330 types out there know about this route leg and the cargo loads etc. that would necessitate them pulling nonrevs off?

I hope we get a TA 100% of the MEC votes for.
I hope we get a TA 80% of the pilots vote for in MEMRAT.
And I hope every pilot has your standards and will reject any deal that remotely resembles C2012.
