Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
You are exclamation pointing at the wrong guy. I live 25 minutes from the airport and hate five day trips but I'm junior so I'm forced into them. Clearly there isn't the demand for five day trips that they build them for in my category.
I couldn't care less about 12 hours or 10 hours between trips either, just explaining where they might have come from.

I would say that depends on your base and category. In mine most months I see plenty of guys near the bottom finally getting their GS#1 (since they get first dibs over someone senior who already had one). In other words, some categories have so many GS each month that almost anyone who puts in for one can get one at some point in the month.

You must be junior and jealous to make a comment like that..Everything at the airlines is based on senority(as it should be). Also, that statement is not true in all categories. I see GS #3, 4, and 5 almost every month in my category. So the junior guys are getting their share too.
I did a WS last week and I knew GS's would go out. In did this because I dropped a trip and was so far below the GS trigger it would not have paid double. The trip I WS'ed was comutable and Q trip. No reason to GS.

OK, waay short, WS to a decent month: I get it, esp if res manning looks like no one is going green. But WS to 99 block hours a month is nonsense. It kills a green that occasionally does go to someone more junior. It fixes company reserve manning problems. I see it all the time. Manning is terrible. Lottsa trips in open time. In step folks jumping thru hoops drop/swap/whatever to fly to FAR at straight pay rate. That is a prime example of pilots being their own worst enemies. OFG
