We're airline pilots. They're free. We like free. Leave them connected.
I prefer my headset. I wish the pilot in the seat before me would disconnect it and store it nearby.

IIRC when based in NY, there was a pilot who advertised renting or chartering his catamaran in the islands. Anybody know his contact info? For that matter, any info anyone has would be great.

I'm just in the info gathering stages. Looking to put together a trip for next year. All the specifics are on the table right now. Which island(s), crewed vs. non-crewed and what month are all up for discussion. Needs to be good sized boat or maybe two as it could end up being several couples.

Thanks

Oh, and congrats to the U Conn Husky girls, and coach Geno, on his 10th National Championship.
I would have watched, but there was a semi-pro bowling matchup that was more interesting.

I'm guessing about 10% max use their own headset on the 717. So I leave the ship headset plugged in when I leave. But I don't ***** when I have to dig around to find one.

I don't worry about germs. Widespread exposure is nature's inoculation protocol. (Let the kids play in the dirt.) I worry about alien abduction. Lining the inside of my hat with tinfoil seems to work - and I always wear my hat.

When I went in for my 3rd YF shot, the Chief of Public Heath (PHD) for my county showed me the WHO recommendation/guidelines on YF shots. The protocol has now been changed to one per lifetime. I sent the information to Delta hoping they'd cut me in for some of the yearly savings.

But I will say the every subsequent YF produces less adverse reaction in the body. This last one only resulted in more body hair. I may not speak Urdu but with my shirt off I look like a native.

I think sailingfun is possibly the guy you're looking for. Just got back from chartering a 46' Leopard cat in the Abacos (have a friend who is a Moorings owner, used his points), have also done both cats & monos in BVI, USVI, & St Maarten. If you're looking to bareboat, I'd recommend BVI as an excellent place for your first charter - fairly easy conditions, lots of fun and beautiful places to visit. As a sailor, I prefer monohulls (sorry Timbo!), but for groups you simply cannot beat the layout and space of a cat. We had 11 people on the 46' and it still didn't feel crowded, whereas 6 people on a 43' mono will be tripping over each other with some regularity.
