But in reality it affects all FO's. I hope if they try to change it all FO's say no way, and vote accordingly.

If it affects such a small % of FO's, it shouldn't matter too much for Management and they won't care either way if we politely say no to getting rid of it.

If I get a good trip that happens to be with an LCA, I don't want to be at the company's mercy under 23K. It's one of the last good deals for FO's who've had to wait an extra 5 years to upgrade to Captain.

So how was it in the 1113 contract? Get removed from the trip then have a recovery obligation to fly something besides what your seniority got you awarded?

I know a lot of Captains that get their trips bought too, so it effect Captains. nobody is going to be happy having the trips they could bid and hold bought and then just put at the top of the reserve list for any trip. Going to Dubai? Try Accra.

I'm sure they get mad seeing a NYC73NB getting GS #9, but, get over it. The people who make a killing on it are truly a small % but it effects everyone.

I don't think it effects any captains (quite the opposite), but probably will affect them, when senior FO's find it undesirable to stay in the right seat.

That CA has every right to bid NYC73B and get GS #7, 8, 9 as well. Beauty of having a seniority list.

HI50, RockyBoy and Duder, thanks for the gouge. I'll sit and wait and see how this plays out. Fortunately the trip is commutable on the front end so I can get an answer the night before I would have to travel. Very cool.

Hey Herc!

Nothing should preclude you from having a GS already in the computer, locked and loaded, just in case they need someone, (YOU), the next morning, for a nice 4/3/2/5 day GS!!!!

If you wait until they release you, at 7pm, you never know when the next GS list will be run, but it might be the next morning and you just might miss something......

I guess that answers my previous question. Seniority rules. Except when it doesn't.

It won't "Effect" them but it just might "Affect" them....The "Effect" comes after they've been "Affected"!:D

Yes, you basically got dumped at the top of the reserve list and were paid the greater of the original trip or what they assigned you. Totally sucked. Not everyone that plays that game picks up another trip. Some of us just stay home and get paid.

Exactly. Seems like such a small thing I can't believe the company even notices this anyway. Some Capt or FO is going to get a trip bought and definitely shouldn't have a recovery obligation. It was the company's choice to buy it and it helps them out.
