I'm amazed by the accuracy and thoroughness of the financial advice. Luv, you can't possibly be an airline pilot.

"Delta Hiring News" is the best thread for this question. "DAL Poolie" will probably get a good response, too. Those threads are up to speed on the latest interview gouge. Now, if it's a question about the 727 panel, I'd start here. :D

Disclaimer: This is from my memory back in May. Answer: If "10" is in the lower left corner and "11" is in the upper right corner when you select "10" it will change to a different number but "11" which will be the next one to select will still be in the upper right corner. So you can "predict" where the next box will be. It goes the same when you get to the alphanumeric sequence. So you select "a" in the upper right with "1" in the upper left. After you select "a" you will select "1" so you already know that your next selection position after the upper right is the upper left. However the bottom two positions and the position selected may/will change. Practice in the instructions until you are comfortable before going on to the test. It is much easier to understand after doing the practice a couple times. And don't get frustrated if you hear the "sad sound" when you make a mistake on some of the tests. It's amazing how two notes can effect your mood.

This. I practiced on one of the tests at least 10 times until I was sure. After all was done, I went to the proctor to apologize for how many times I asked for a reset and he laughed. He said he didn't care if somebody asked him 100 times to reset. He would do it until someone came in to tell everyone to go home. Like everything else on your interview, this is big. Make sure you're comfortable before proceeding.

Go to cogres.com. Click on psychometric technologies. Click on CogScreen. There's a video of each of the tests.

Next time tell the scheduler that you can accept it if they can help you get there. They have given me positive space to get there.....at least for an out of base GS. Don't know about in base but it doesn't hurt to ask!

Can you clarify for me? I hear people say this a lot, but I was under the impression a GS isn't a proffer(i.e. if they call and you answer its yours). How can you answer a GS call and tell them only if you help get me there? Isn't it on you regardless at that point?
I've been drinking I don't have child care I am unable to commute Usually I let them just go to voicemail but I had been actively checking open time and saw the GS against my name as the phone rang so I picked it up. |

Only negative is I'll have to bus it over from JFK to LGA and then gamble that the DTW to SAT RJ doesn't get weight restricted on the way home.

Hi Guys,
I have a Q about vacation, and monthly bidding. What is the default function of annual vacation? My understanding is that it's default is pay and NO CREDIT. Is that correct??? I can't find the setting in PBS to award vacation as pay AND credit. What am I missing. Thanks. Oh, BTW, I know bidding is closed, but I'll need to know for next time. Thanks again. |

Yes, it's pay, no credit. That's why some guys will load up on extra flying during vacation months. |

It's pay and credit for bidding. Vacation plus whatever adds up to alv+/-. Pay no credit when schedules come out. Vacation pays but doesn't count against FARs. |
Can you imagine the updraft of more pilots needed in all seats, if vacation were both pay AND credit??

As someone else said, there are ways to get out of it. Denny |
