I have met/know the following that jumped ship last year. The common theme was jumping ship for the coveted home basing.

Left UAL at 9 months for AAL
Left AAL at 12 months for DAL
Left AAL at 11 months for FedEx
Left SWA a 5 YEARS for DAL
Left AAL during indoc for DAL
Left SWA at 2 and 6 months for DAL
Left AAL first year for DAL (me)

Don't nonrev to a honeymoon.

And to be fair I have a bud who left DAL for Alaska in the first month. Basing had a lot to do with that decision also.

Agreed. I've seen it turn honeymoons into staycations or stressful nightmares for friends of mine.

Just a side story. A crew was staying at a hotel having a big wedding. I guess a FA came down the next morning to an early van time a bit late. She was tired. Crew asked why, she said she had the room next to the bride and groom. Everyone said ooooooh. Yeah? Hard to sleep huh?

She said no, you don't understand. So the bride and groom got into a big fight and then the two wedding parties got into a big fight and cops were called and people were arrested and it was a big mess. All in the room next door.

Red flag.

There is a form you can submit a two weeks prior to your wedding. It allows you to immediately non rev with your wife the day you're married. Good explanation on the life change checklist or just call the company. Like Cornbeef said, call a few times to make sure it's been processed. You have a month to submit the marriage license. Went to Italy last Fall without a problem. Congrats!

I know we have a lot going on. But, this thread was on the second page. We at APC cannot let this happen.

Carry on.
