How about that?

LGA is the bane of air travel. The short runways don't bug me, the visual approaches are fun, but once you're on the ground the sheer volume of stupidity assaults my senses from all directions. If there was a 1 car funeral, LGA could eff it up. Ramp, ground, and clearance drive me to drink.

They should spend $4b to sink the landfill and build a playground, not retrofit that turd.

The terminal is a disaster to me. I hate the terminal from the time I near Mike until whenever.

What the other two said, I enjoy the Expressway to 31 and the view landing south at night is great. Plus the food is good. That being said if it's the penalty lap and the WX sucks LGA is the worst.

I almost forgot $1 coffee can't forget that.

I like the expressway 31.

But I love visual 29 ewr. :D

My favorite in ewr was the ils 11 circle 22R. Right, not left, there was someone already on the left, so circle and land to 224)r, keep it tight and don't hit the AF 744 at whiskey.

Or land 29 but overhead the numbers on 4.

The coex atr guys had some Budweiser plant approach, I think shoot ils 22R, overhead airport and circle around to 11.

From my somewhat "limited" airline career thus far, LGA & EWR interchange rank on my list depending on the day of the week. Took me almost 3hrs to get to the gate after landing in EWR one evening then another 3hrs to taxi back out and get the heck outta dodge. My one and only 16hr day to date.

Anybody know anything about the pilot that died on the AMS layover the other day?

EEEWWWRRR! Just kidding badflaps. Your story is one of the most unique I've ever heard. Continue to enjoy retirement!

There are a "million stories in the naked city", the only reason you don't hear more, is most of the guys are just now mastering touch tone phones much less the interweb. To hear them tell it, Boeing really screwed things up when they took the top wing off....

5 hour break between flights.

Depends if the DH home exceeds the contractual max duty day length. No FAR limit on the DH since you're not flying. They'll get you home and avoid the hotel plus trip credit if they possibly can. If you're scheduled to DH home and your LHR-DTW runs late enough to miss the DH, and the next one exceeds the contractual max day, you can have them set you up to layover and DH the next day, then deviate, take the next flight and pick up 5 more hours
