Getting married soon and trying to book the honeymoon non-rev. Right now they are listed as my travel companion so the international charges are way different than if we were married. Is there anything I can do to change that?

You need to do the paperwork and call them a lot. I did the paperwork, which included a copy of the license and the required form more the two weeks before we hitched. We took off the day after the wedding and she still wasn't "processed". Went to someplace in middle of nowhere on St. Lucia and didn't have internet or phone service. When we left she still wasn't processed, so we flew back with her as my companion.

Returned home to a letter from the pass department indicating the marrige license had to be signed when we had submitted the initial paperwork. Never mind it said in bold that you can't sign it until after the marrige had occurred. I figured they would have refunded at least a portion...nope

This experience with a third party is exactly why the medical change in the TA was a horrible idea. I did exactly what I needed to do and their excuse was that I had not called enough to follow up with them.

Thanks for filling me in. This sounds about like what I should expect.

You can look into enrolling her as "opposite sex domestic partner." Same benefits as a spouse. Might be a good temporary solution if you meet the requirements.

Oh yeah, RTR! Is Henry a beast or what?

Derrick Henry is not my favorite part of Alabama football.

I really prefer to watch their kicking game then watch Henry run.

:D

Well you can watch the kicking game after Henry scores! :D

But I know what you meant about the kicking game. :p

There's still a WARNING in the -135 books, a holdover from the A-model days, stating (paraphrased): "The last 1,000' of runway remaining must be reserved for rotation. If 1,000' remaining is reached prior to S1 or Vrot, initiate rotation immediately." [S1 = V1]

I'm told that it was fairly routine, when heavy, to rotate based on runway remaining instead of speed. Glad I never flew A-models...!!

There is some discussion on the UAL page about some of the new hires leaving to go to DAL or AA. Anyone see that happening?

I have good friend who left Ual after 6 months to come to delta last year. He said Ual was a hot mess operationally and still years away from company being truly merged.
