Quick green slip question as I had my first ever out of base green slip this month.
Are out of base and in base green slips tracked togethor or separately? I.e. If I get an out of base GS do I go to the bottom of the pile for an in base GS or are they two separate things? |

Anyone know the target "group in days avail" that they aim for when assigning short call? Do they try for folks with 4 days? 5 days? 3 days? Of availability
Thanks |

Actually they can assign you a rotation or Short-Call as early as 0500 as long as your last 'non-fly day' wasn't vacation.
You cannot be assigned SC or any trip at 0500 on any first day of a reserve sequence. It doesn't matter what kind of non-fly day it was. Rest is prospective so it begins at 12 AM on the first reserve day. If SC is assigned by 3PM (9 or more hours before midnight) then the earliest on day one anyone can be assigned SC is 1000. If you need to commute, you can use the first 2 hours of the first SC period in a reserve sequence. So, in my example, you can start SC at 1000 but aren't contactable until 1200 which a means the earliest you may have to report is 1400. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Short Version:
If it's on your schedule at 1500 the day prior (not Vacation) they can assign you Short Call or Rotation as early as 0500 report. You must acknowledge said assignment no later than 0200 on day-1. If it isn't on your schedule when iCrew records your 'schedule-check' at 1501, you're technically off the hook until 0001 when you are obligated to be available for notification under Long Call rules. When the phone rings at 0001, you are then on the hook for any assignment with a 1200 (or later) report. (Ex: Short call @1000 with a 2-hr report time = 1200 report) After vacation, you can be assigned Short Call as early as 1000 as you are required to be available for contact at 0001. Clear as mud???:D I think you're completely wrong. See my post above. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
