In the meantime, wasn't there a feature that would estimate how many lines could be built out of the available flying? I looked at the estimated PBS Line Count document which (I hope) didn't make sense. At the top it shows Projected Number of REG line holders (13). When I scrolled down there was a 2 column chart titled "REGS", the number here (39) wasn't the same as from the top chart -- any insight what that 2 column chart represents?

As a complete noob observation, it appeared there was way too much flying in the bid package for only 13 lines. I looked at 717 for NYC and there were a total of 105 trips for an average of 3.09 days each. For simplicity/worst case I assumed min credit of 5:15 per day, then multiplied by the average trip length of 3.09 then multiplied by trips of 105. I divided by ALV of 73 and came up with 23 lines of flying. Realistically some guys will help fill their schedule with vacation, and some of those days will give more than min credit which should mean more than 23 lines of flying. Is my math wrong or was the February estimate from the Bid Packages and Awards page incorrect?

Depends on the trips. A high credit commutable (both ends) 5 day can be a good deal. A 25ish hour 5 day with one or both ends not commutable is a POS trip all day long.

FWIW - For LAX 73N there are more than I thought, and they pay from about 27-31 hours. Not too bad for a commuter.

Once I get the DA quirk fixed I can perform a more in depth analysis.
