To be completely honest, I commute (not for long yay!) so I list for JS a LOT and I have never once had a captain ask me to sit in the jumpseat because it said 1P(and yes I always check in!), and it ALWAYS says 1P, they never roll me to non-rev, not once has that ever happened to me despite that the FOM says that they will. But its definitely your prerogative as a captain to say they must sit in the jumpseat if you are concerned it will affect W&B.

I don't think you understand. Did you read what I said? It is not the prerogative of the captain where the jumpseater sits in the CASE I stated. The FOM is very clear on this. It is very easy "stay at gate performance" = 1P in the actual jumpseat. All other scenarios 1P sits wherever I don't care. The beauty of it is I don't have to care why! I just do it because it is a hard rule.

From past history, it can go either way. The cop-out answer is, your results may vary. I guess it keeps you in the pile of reviewed apps.

It's been four months since I got my fix-it. I fixed it within 15 minutes of the email arriving and replied to them letting them know it was corrected. Crickets ever since......
