It depends. In SNN or DUB, you have to have the seat assignment to pass through US customs. Definitely check-in at the ticket counter, even if you are not checking a bag.

There was language in the failed TA to cover this scenario. It was a step in the right direction but it only triggered premium pay if a reserve assignment worked you into more than one regular line day off. We'll see if it makes into TA2...hopefully with the trigger changed to being worked into any regular line day off.

I have not non-revved out of there, but have operated in and out of there. The airport is pretty small, so even if they hold you at the ticket counter until check-in is closed (60 mins prior to departure for most int'l cities) you'll have plenty of time to get to the boarding area. No jetways, so once they board, you just walk out to the airplane from a central boarding lounge.

Was down there last January with the wife for a long weekend. The DL gates have moved over to the new terminal, so there are standard jetways for boarding. Do check in at the ticket counter, but they won't hold you--you'll get a gate pass to through security, pretty much just like domestic.

On arrival, you can make your life a LOT easier if everyone in your party has USD$10 bill on them. They collect a shakedown--pardon me, an "entry tax," payable (only?) in USD, $10 bucks per person, cash. I have no idea what they do for anyone not showing up with cash or needing more change than what they have available.

Worked out where you're staying yet? The crew hotel is a pretty good deal: you get the room for $77 (DL discount), and all-inclusive bracelets for $20 per person--whatever taxes are included, so, that boils down to an all-inclusive hotel on the beach for $117 / nt for two people out the door. If you're staying for more than a long weekend, you'll probably get stir crazy and want to get off property, but it was perfect for the three days we were there. The only ways to spend money on the property that we found: 1) casino; 2) spa; 3) gift shop; 4) bottled wine (the house wine, red or white, is included; a bottle is a separate charge). IIRC, it was about $35 each way in the cab each way to/from the hotel.

I know there is a section on APC discussing EZ Bid but it was a little out dated, so forgive the topic change.

Does any one have a suggestion about bidding software. I was considering EZ Bid. I am primarily looking for something that would notify me new trips are placed into open time.

I currently have Icrew Max and its OK but I was looking for something that would alert me, plus Icrew Max has not been updating several of their hotels or layover info.

Thanks
BFS

Widget Works, which is part of the Flightline suite including EZ bid is good for open time notifications. New categories (ie LAX 777A, NYC 330) aren't added very quickly to the open time notifications though.
