Any chance that by "Hot Mic" we actually mean VOX? Hot mic would be better than status quo, but I'd definitely prefer a VOX system (with a hot mic sensitivity setting). Not sure why they are common in Cessna 152s...but not in 737s?

Solely out of curiosity PD, what exactly is CA supposed to do? Grieve the mid-phase validation that is not delineated in the contract nor in the FARs? I think you have to win that argument before you get to argue LCA versus LVP.

Real world: Not sure about AQFO authority. Don't they just give theater rides to funky airports? Hard to imagine a new hire getting that job, you have to have been a few hundred times to garden spots like Tegucigalpa etc. Up to CLCP on each fleet who to hire, I guess.

AQFOs have neither LCA or SLI authority. SLI F/Os live solely in "Sim World" and are completely different than AQFOs and soon-to-be LVPs.

I kinda think this is much ado about nothing....
