Silly how our work rules and such are harder to figure out than actually flying the airplane.
What's the time from sign-out of the first trip to sign-in of the second? Maybe not enough rest?

If you look at 23W5b, the exception says any trip that touches the contractual holiday period must have greater reserves required than available on every day in the holiday period, or the swap won't go through. This is probably what happened.

The 5 days in question are/were Dec 13-17. Not sure that's part of a holiday period but, yeah, maybe that was the reason. Same days/footprint though...PCS silliness in my mind.

Also, what about the PCS lock out due to bidding closing? Could that have been the reason?

Maybe. It remains mysterious to me. The denial reason was "Capped Reserve Days."

Holiday period is 2 days before and 1 day after Christmas. I would call 800-USA-ALPA tomorrow and talk to one of the scheduling guys. The company needs to be held accountable on crap like this scheduler not being able to explain why your swap didn't go through.
