Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
The reason I find this funny is, I'm guilty of assuming in the other direction.... I take no satisfaction in having been right, merely a bit of relief in not sticking my foot in my mouth!
At least I did so based on the correct odds, though. Anyone who's spent any time around the equestrian crowd could tell you: it's FAR more slanted to the female demographic than the pilot field is slanted to the male....

Is Vacation bidding open yet? I thought I read somewhere that it was.
Tried to bid and NO VAC WKS FOR CAT in 2016 pops up when I select "Display Vacation Weeks Available in Category"

Due to lots of MLOA, I've never had more than one week of vacation. I have two for '16-'17.
I have 6 different weeks that I would prefer to have my vacation awarded.
For Primary Vacation do I list in order the weeks I'd like, 1-6? Then for Secondary Vacation do I re-list them again, hoping to get the next preference or maybe hopes of getting my first choice in the second round? Or do I choose different week preferences for my Secondary Vacation if I don't get any of the weeks I'd like in Primary?
Thanks, fellas.

I have been awarded a vacation week in secondary vacation bids that I didn't get during the primary, not sure of the actual logic.

You can find weeks available on the page before you go to bid vacations. I always have trouble finding them too......

Coming up on my first CQ on the 320. Just curious who flies the LOE. Some parts of the DIG say the FO, others say the CA. Not that it makes a huge difference. Just curious. Any other words of wisdom in preparing are appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.
My January schedule says "Affected by SLG". Anyone know what that means?

I think they alternate every other time, I don't know whose up for the next one.
PBS Gouge:
Secondary Line Generation (SLG)
There is one final method that PBS will employ if necessary to award a line from a Pairings bid group, Secondary Line Generation, SLG. SLG looks at any pairings that are not awarded to senior pilots to find any combination that will make a legal line without regard for your preferences. There are some limitations. For example if the only combination of pairings has Christmas off and pilots senior to you have to work Christmas, SLG will not award the line. While SLG sounds very bad, remember that PBS will only use SLG after exhausting multiple completion attempts. It is a last desperate attempt to award a line as opposed to a simple ignoring of your preferences. Generally, this only occurs towards the very bottom of the regular line pilots where the available pairings are very sparse. In June 2009 there were 9 SLG’s out of 5064 regular lines.

Thanks man.........guess it's time to go back and read that thing. Haven't done that since the merger
I'd forgotten it even existed.Yup.......as the plug that's what I can expect. However, I'm happy to have a regular schedule AND it's a trip I would have actually bid. Maybe next time I'll take time to put something in vs award trips before moving onto the reserve bid
