I have some fragments of MD11 DNA in me. Looks similar.

717 avionics/FMS = MD11 avionics/FMS.

If you flew the MD11, you'll be right at home. But it's a smaller home. Really smaller.

Those events should take place in classroom 3007 in OC3, there is a link to the device map on the the 717 training page on Delta Net.

Do go to the FMS class if you can, it's time well spent.

I've had a 4-day trip converted to a 3-day trip due to an equipment substitution. My iCrew schedule shows "RR" in the left margin (I assume that means reroute).

If nothing else is assigned, will I be pay protected for the day that was removed from my schedule?

The PWA examples all deal with same-day reroutes. I couldn't find anything pertaining to an entire day being dropped. Thanks for the help.

You're guaranteed the original value of the trip, assuming you're a line holder. It won't show up on your time card until the trip closes out, it'll show up on a separate pay code referencing the contract paragraph. They don't do it until closeout in case you get re-rerouted and it's not necessary.

So if I get called for a GS and I don't want it, as long as I don't acknowledge they will remove it, right? I messed up my preferences and got called for one that checks in too early for me to get there, and it's still on my schedule An hour after they called. I went on to look at the trip but did not acknowledge.

This issue is whether or not it's a proffer which is based upon time to report.

This is not correct. The key is in the wording of notified AND acknowledges. Time has nothing to do with it. A good habit is to let it go to VM and then check to make sure you didn't hose yourself. You have 10 minutes to acknowledge a time critical GS.

From section 23, page 23-42:
9. A pilot will be obligated to fly a GS or GSWC rotation if he is notified of and acknowledges the award.

10. If Crew Scheduling is unable to contact a pilot to inform him of the GS or GSWC award, the pilot will be bypassed without pay protection and the rotation(s) will be removed 2 from the pilot’s line and returned to open time.
