When it's way oversold it's typical that the historic numbers come into play. The HNL to mainland flights they do move up from the aft to the front, rest of the transpacific not so much.

You can always call ALPA or scheduling. GS are done manually. In under 1 week I've had both a PB day error and an incorrectly assigned trip on reserve error. Both were fixed with a call the scheduling.
Herkflyr was right. I looked it up in the PWA, but was glad to get his explanation as my contract reading skills are not great.

As to your question, I have no idea. But a similar question was in my mind with the GSWCs I saw being assigned and this was, If you get a GSWC do you get paid for the entire trip that you were originally scheduled? My reading of the PWA would indicate yes, even the credit. I have a 5 day trip coming up that has 12 hours of block and 14 hours of credit and was concerned that if by chance I do get a GSWC would I get paid the entire trip. I think I would.

Just in case you haven't seen it, here is the article about the Maddog upgrade that went south.

Follow up question from your comment "The day three that you originally were going to pay will be paid out at straight pay and credit, and the first two will be double pay/no credit (assuming you are a regular lineholder)."

My time card shows 15:45 for sked time for the trip and pay of 10:30.
G/Slip Pay: 10:30

To me that means 10:30 of GS pay. But your comment makes me wonder if you're saying I am entitled to the third day of straight pay for the scheduled day that was canceled. I'm guessing not and that I am just reading your comment wrong.
Your trip should pay 15:45 and then 10:30 GS pay.

So much to work with this in this one paragraph.

The “development” aspect of the program was particularly true for the legacy FMS, for which IS&S was to replace some—but not all—of the functions. “Delta prohibited IS&S from completely replacing the existing FMS because it contains proprietary algorithms that calculate the optimal vertical flight path to minimize fuel consumption,” says IS&S in the complaint. Delta denies that claim as well as IS&S’s assertion that the airline ultimately canceled the program because it “adopted a new fleet-planning strategy” that calls for replacing the MD-88s and MD-90s. “In short, Delta has changed its mind about the retrofit project and come down with a case of buyer’s remorse,” the complaint argues.
I totally don't buy that the 88 has an algorithm to optimize vertical flight paths but I absolutely believe that what's there is proprietary.

That said it looks like DAL wants out of the 88/90. Hmmm. Something something something Embraer 190.

S2B for one eligible pass rider from 12/23-28 and 12/30-1/4

From the memo. Hope this helps...

In order to use the S2B pass your pass rider should:
• List for the flight as they normally would for non-revenue travel
• Select S-2B priority when prompted
• If checking in with a ticket agent or via TravelNet, simply request S-2B priority
