I just saw that star wars movie, I think it was called episode III. Or VII. Hard to tell.
Anyways, I wikipediaed the Melinium Falcon and found this:
Heck yeah. DC-9 and Melinium Falcon are two peas in a pod.

The sound of the ship traveling through hyperspace comes from two tracks of the engine noise of a McDonnell Douglas DC-9, with one track slightly out of synchronization with the other to introduce a phasing effect.

So why if we don't use a buddy pass (authorized than not used, money refunded) that we lose the ability to use it? Seems like with everything done electronically, that this should not be an issue anymore....just wondering.
Who knows why there is a rule like that - probably a carry over from years ago. For decades they gave seats to the non-revs from the back of the plane to the front, because it was better for CG or cruise performance.
Last year some pilot pointed it out and they changed it, so that the higher priority standbys got better seats (exit row, etc) first.

Most of the bowl games I watched sucked, very lopsided wins, but that game was nuts! I nearly turned it off at halftime, TCU down by 31, no way anyone comes back from that.....
Boy Oregon really, really choked in the second half! And their center, with all the low snaps, and did their starting QB get a concussion or what? The announcers never really said why he was out, just that he 'took a hit'.
Well... was it a concussion? If it was, why was he walking around the sideline wearing a headset the whole second half, instead of relaxing in the locker room? Did they think they didn't need him, because they were up by 31? Well guess what? They needed him!

Another asterisk rotation discovery...
I had a 5-day carry-out trip with 1 day in Feb. When the changes came out today (thus the flood of open trips at the end of the month methinks), the 5th day was removed from the rotation. Usually they add a day to a 4-day.
Anyway, I figured I would be pay-protected for that removed day, but the rotation shows no credit for the removed day.
Also, PWA 4.F.6. seems to say I'm SOL. "The rotation guarantee of an asterisk rotation will be based on the portion of the rotation (as originally published int he bid package) that is contained within the bid period."
Am I correct, i.e. am I out of luck for the $$ on the removed day?
Can they still add a day to the trip since it's an asterisk trip and they can change whatever they want? I guess after the 4th of this month, they can't make any changes that would affect next month's bid award, though.

Before you get upset, consider that Delta has long been virtually the only airline to pay protect every single trip in your current month. Most airlines will only pay protect the first week or two, and some don't pay protect anything you don't fly.
