I live in Doylestown, Pa...and there are lots of pilots in the area. Better taxes and cheaper and nicer IMHO than NY or Jersey. Schools are good. Drive can suck a bit, but EWR is an hour and 15, so thats allright and works for the shortcall requirement for all 3 airports. Also try Bethlehem Pa, another nice town with lots to do.

Ah, Bucks County... I lived their as a newly winged AF pilot on Reserve C-130's at Willow Grove. It was a great place to live and a great base. BRAC scattered the unit but I have fond memories. Cost of living was high, but hey, it's the Northeast Corridor.

Does anyone know if you can yellow slip on reserve for an out of base trip? If so, are you expected to get there on your own or can you get DH's to and from?

Ty. I don't need it but it might be helpful in the future. I just spent about 20 minutes in icrew before I was able to figure out how to log my autoland. I don't understand why they can't just add an extra sentence to the annoying login pop-up that says "go to personnel->recency data->etc etc..."
Which my info I gave earlier was wrong- entering in the info on the arrivals page updates autoland currency for the plane, not you. Still have to go into iCrew and do the silly method of entering it in there for your own currency.
