And Delta is going to have to pay taxes when the NOLs run out.

True statement

Nevermind that the economy is just warming up and the best economists in the world see steady growth.

You can find just as many that say the opposite. That's what makes a market. Or, if economists were so damned smart, why aren't they all filthy rich?

Nevermind management has a plan to offshore to mitiage taxes.

Prove this

Same stuff, different day.

If it's a good deal, why threaten and swear at reps?

Agreed with both the above
although I have no idea who was swearing at whom. You got pictures?

A handful of company kool aid drinkers control this union.

meh

Will the pilots fall for another C2012 or will they take a stand and remove them all??

By all means, panic now and beat the rush.

The price of gas has gone up nearly 75 cents a gallon this past month. Let's hope we hedged at the low point, and maybe Douchey Parker will lose his a$$.

WRT to the economy.

Wages are up. Unemployment is down. Housing prices are up.

Fear mongering about a down economy is getting old. This group will do anything and say anything to carry water for management.

There is no reason to make concessions during record profits. Day one we have DALPA leaders pleading for management desired concessions.

I was on board. MD and the NC were saying all the right things. Now we have deterioriated to the same as last time.

Committee chairman do not get to yell and swear at reps. They work for the reps, as does the MEC chairman.

A "historic " agreeement does not need threatening. It does not need predictions of black swans.

It should be an easy yes for every reps.

Getting another min run C2012 is a huge mistake.

Let's hope for the easy yes for all of us.

I would indeed find it offensive and unacceptable if either side had proxies try to influence swing reps publicly with statements, well, statements like...

Before the body is cold our execs will say it was cost neutral and their 2016 labor costs will increase less than 2%. The usual suspects will say management has to lie to the shareholders like this, but we really won!!

We can turn the tide like we did for CDOs, but the pilots in ATL, SLC, LAX and SEA have to make the calls. These reps hold our futures.

If I saw statements like these, I would think that pilots from other councils are trying to influence mine, and telling me how to vote, so yes, I would find it offensive and unacceptable. As far as statements guys are making at the MEC level to influence one another, I would imagine the histrionics can get a little silly, yes. I wouldn't expect to hear whining from any rep on APC, however that they're getting pressure. I would expect any of these guys to have the fortitude to solve these things privately.

How about we all change to our real names until after MEMRAT?

Then we can all go back to being secret squirrels?

WAIT!!

Why not build a C152 out of LEGOS!

Nevertheless, I call your attention to the BOLD words above. The BOLD words above are where to I call your attention all! Timbo, brother...buddy! If you had a time machine all along you could have just said. There is all sorts of stuff we could do! Kill Hitler (duh!?), go see what all the fuss about the Helen of Troy chick was, get in on some of the VJ day action in New York (little hot grandmas at 21 time travel action!) and then we could go be pilots at Pan Am together in 1961. Leave all this muck and mire of the TA behind.

But on the off chance you don't have a time machine...WHY ARE YOU SCARED OF SOMETHING THAT HASN'T HAPPENED?

Unless you have a TA that I don't (and I don't have a TA....T&A, maybe...I'll check my browser history)...we don't know if there are concessions or huge paydays ahead. Live in the now my friend. Live. In. The. Now.

Let's debate the TA once we have one. Not disasterize (I made that word up, like it?) what we don't know yet.

But seriously if you do have a time machine I really really want to do some stuff.
What if the NC passes a real turd like C2012 (see what I did there...do ya) I will vote on the relative merits on any TA passed to us but isn't it better to let the MEC know now what is or isn't accepatable before that happens?

Real turd? really? And yes it is better to let them know.

With this stuff! Using this, with legos, you could build one pretty bad-*** C-152.

Fair. I think. No? Best part is, all the improved WB scope will mean movement up for everyone. So just jump up to that next category.

I don't think the MEC would pass anything less than that.
Before you start to celebrate, consider the implications of a retirement age change. If the age goes up we face more stagnation. The will affect us more the anything I have heard aboutfhe next contract.
