So to be clear you would find it offensive and unacceptable if the pro side had all its minions calling and harassing the swing vote reps with statements like:
The economy is going to collapse in 18 months.
It is possible, probably not likely, but certainly possible
And Delta is going to have to pay taxes when the NOLs run out.
True statement
Nevermind that the economy is just warming up and the best economists in the world see steady growth.
You can find just as many that say the opposite. That's what makes a market. Or, if economists were so damned smart, why aren't they all filthy rich?

Sure. Let's do. If we don't hedge, we pay spot price. Dougie looks like a genius doing that since crude fell off a cliff. Had it not done so, he would be paying way more than everybody else. Since we have the refinery, we still have an advantage Dougie is I am not mistaken. It's a cost of doing business, nothing nefarious or inept to see here other than some bad timing.
The price of gas has gone up nearly 75 cents a gallon this past month. Let's hope we hedged at the low point, and maybe Douchey Parker will lose his a$$.

Fear mongering about a down economy is getting old. This group will do anything and say anything to carry water for management.
There is no reason to make concessions during record profits. Day one we have DALPA leaders pleading for management desired concessions.
I was on board. MD and the NC were saying all the right things. Now we have deterioriated to the same as last time.
Committee chairman do not get to yell and swear at reps. They work for the reps, as does the MEC chairman.
A "historic " agreeement does not need threatening. It does not need predictions of black swans.
It should be an easy yes for every reps.
Getting another min run C2012 is a huge mistake.
Let's hope for the easy yes for all of us.

IMO this rumor is spot on. The shadow MEC is alive and well. They crafted this leak with management and probably have the votes in the bag to pass this self funding POS. Another rush job filled with unnecessary concessions. Not the least of which will be helping management pay zero for the KLM/AF grievance.
Before the body is cold our execs will say it was cost neutral and their 2016 labor costs will increase less than 2%. The usual suspects will say management has to lie to the shareholders like this, but we really won!!
We can turn the tide like we did for CDOs, but the pilots in ATL, SLC, LAX and SEA have to make the calls. These reps hold our futures.

If I saw statements like these, I would think that pilots from other councils are trying to influence mine, and telling me how to vote, so yes, I would find it offensive and unacceptable. As far as statements guys are making at the MEC level to influence one another, I would imagine the histrionics can get a little silly, yes. I wouldn't expect to hear whining from any rep on APC, however that they're getting pressure. I would expect any of these guys to have the fortitude to solve these things privately.
