Maybe I'm a SNAP, but it's your mentality that's driving pilots out of the military. "To hell with quality of life, we gotta green up the slides!"
Instructional fix: widen your sight picture.

How about letting them still us reserves to cover out of base flying, but have it effect the manning formula the same way a GS is supposed to?
The manning formula goes out the window with the amount of training we are doing. The constant adjustment ensures the formula is recalculated almost daily. Besides what penalty or restitution is made to the pilots if it is out of balance? NONE.

Lighten up francis, instead of gettin all 3rd grader on me, maybe come up with valid points, like trip dropping for reserve coverage. That makes sense to the caveman over here. Or as roger Moore said, make it function like green slipping. Regardless chill brobama....it's all good, I wear orange
There are so many varieties of ways CS can cut up trips, you are really shooting yourself in the foot if you get too specific. Case in point, out of base pilot puts "minimum 4 hours to report" as an option. Then there's a GS with a DH to his home town that leaves in 40 minutes, layover, and fly a leg to ATL. The commuter just lost a 2 day GS where he wouldn't have even had to have lifted a finger until day 2. Up to you, but I always have a blanket in-base GS on file.
IA robocalls don't know your future schedule, I get IA calls all the time for trips that would be with conflict.
While on the topic of robocalls... I was on rotation yesterday with a 0500 report for a 0600 push and got a robocall at 0400 telling me I had been rerouted. The reroute didn't change the route at all, just my 1st leg was a DH on the exact same flight I'd originally been scheduled to fly. I was on a 30 hour layover so there was plenty of "opportunity" to get 8 hours sleep; however, the robocall was 30 minutes prior to my planned alarm and it woke me up. Other than having a heart attack that I'd overslept pickup I wasn't much the worse for wear; however, could it have been interpreted as interrupting my opportunity for 8 hours sleep?
edit: and for the haters -- no I don't pick up my phone on rotation, but even on vibrate my phone will sometimes wake me up. When you see CS on the caller ID screen it gets your attention when you don't think they should have any reason to be calling you

The new deltanet sucks.
How do we bid if the PBS tab takes me to an error page?
Did they even test this crap before going live?
More keystrokes to do the same thing and a bunch is dead links. How did SD say there was positive feedback...was the positive feedback from the developer?
