I'm sure he is. But I personally know at least 30-40 guys that would kill to even have a shot at an interview that wouldn't be complaining about having to commute to their FIRST DAY of work as a pilot here. Just a friendly reminder to keep a low profile on probation.

I'm also puzzled why you and WhatNow were offended by the guy's question.
He's just trying to avoid a pointless commute.

Is it because he said "freaking"?

Meh, low profile always good gouge. Trying to improve your schedule is just common sense. My LCA helped me bid during OE. He didnt tell me to suck it up.

Dude wasnt *****ing, just asking how to improve his life/schedule. I totally get it, my first few months off OE sucked royally sched wise. Go figure, I had world class juniority. Wish I could have made it better for family. I dont begrudge same of anyone else.

Does mil leave change the threshold if you drop one trip?

I think it's 5 hours. If you drop a trip due to mil leave I'd just look to see if the time card shows a different GS trigger as a result (yeah, Caps Obvious tip there).

GS trigger remains 75 for a line holder.

I'm about to finish OE. Due to PBs, I have a block of reserve coming up that is one day long. I've tried to move it, but no dice on md88B.
My fear is I get tagged for short call, and have to fly in the day prior for 1 freaking day.
Do I have a chance at long call? Any advice?

Do new hires have the APD?

Swap with the pot question. I'm trying to swap a 3 day for a 3 day in open time. The 3 days I'm trying to drop have more reserves available than the 3 days I'm trying to pick up. The swap is still being denied due to "capped reserve coverage". I thought if there were more available on what I was trying to drop than what I was trying to pick up the swap would be honored since it's still a net gain?

Nope. There have to be more reserves available for the one you are trying to drop. You can't even swap oin the same day for an earlier flight if there is insufficient coverage. That is why the rule nbeeds to look at all bases in a geographic area since the company has the luxury to staff from other bases. This affects every. single. pilot. on. the. list.

There are more available on days I'm trying to drop...I think.

What I'm trying to drop reserves available:
Day 1: 3
Day 2: 5
Day 3: 6

What in trying to pick up:
Day 1: 4
Day 2: 3
Day 3: 3

So 14 vs 10
