For FAR FDP consideration, you are off duty (FDP ends) at block-in. However, for rest, add 30 minutes from block-in to start your 10 hour (minimum) rest requirement.

One thing that I now do proactively is run prospective trips through the rules auditor to see if I am legal for trips that I might be interested in.

Anybody know about how much time you need to show up to CDG to nonrev back to the good ole US of A? Heard 4 hours but that seemed extreme.

Coming out of Paris I got to the airport about 2+45 before departure. It took a long time - we got to the gate about 25 minutes before boarding, about enough time to get a snack for my daughter and sit for a few minutes.

Pro tip: Use the Sky Priority line for immigration, your boarding pass (if you listed for Business class) will say Sky Priority on it, thus allowing you though (most likely). That saved us about 20 minutes I'm guessing. Also working arriving in Paris, there is a priority line to the left, helpful if you were in sat up front on the way into CDG as a nonrev.

Having flown too many trips to CDG, I would avoid CDG whenever possible. Traffic, security and AF are the trifecta of a miserable experience. But the food is good.

Well, I'm here and it's happening. Lol. We had an easy trip over, 5 great days here, and now I have the dreaded flight home. Flight attendant on the way over told me to be there at least 4 hours in advance. Probably good advice but 4am departure from my hotel doesn't sound like fun.

That's great, SIN is awesome. They do a lot of cool stuff with that jet. My buddy flies SFO-TLV on that thing. I expect once the KAL JV gets going, we'll pull the NRT-SIN flight for good, like we just did with BKK and TPE.
