I normally use a Default Bid.

In August I'd like to bid RES for VACA.

If I use the CURRENT BID, this will override my DEFAULT BID for AUG, correct?

Correct.
Bid RES to change default bid.

White slip after OE

Have a question that I'm having a hard time finding an answer for. I want to pick up a trip technically after my shadow period but overlapping with my last awarded shadow rotation.

- Shadow period was July 6-13
- Shadow rotations awarded & dropped cover July 9-16
- OE trip July 9-13

Question is, if I pick up a trip during the period of July 14-16, will I get paid for it since it is after my shadow period? Or would I be working for free because it overlaps with a shadow rotation that I'm already getting paid for that day?

Thanks.

Just venting...

Check into the LHR layover hotel. They knowingly assign me a room with a broken AC unit and think that's somehow OK. Their solution is a rotating fan. Room is at the end of the hall and doesn't pick up the wifi. Their solution is to move closer to the door. Room is literally the size of a jail cell, exactly how much closer to the door can I get and how much of a difference will that 2-3 feet make? After asking to speak with the manager I finally get a new room. Total time 1.5 hours from arrival at the hotel until I have a suitable room.

So I decide to FCR it. Login to Deltanet, click on the FCR link, it pops open a new window to sign into Delta passport. I sign in again, and instead of opening the FCR page I just get another tab of Deltanet. Try again, same results.

So if you get a crappy hotel you're supposed to login to a crappy IT system to fill out worthless paperwork which nobody ever does anything about, except you can't even login to the crappy system to document the crappy hotel. Good times.

But the overall message is clear, right?

The process works when you identify specifics related to your stay. I did an FCR for a NYC (Roosevelt) snafu, and got an email from the hotel. They set me up for a voucher for the restaurant at the hotel. My understanding is the more specific you are, the more likely you are to have it addressed. I had names, times, room number, etc.

The "cleanest" access to FCR's is through "My Division". Once on the Flight Operations page, using the menu on the right side ("ASAP/ASR/FCR") has worked for me.

I always shoot a copy of the FCR directly to the MEC Hotel Committee. They're at [email protected].

Sorry to hear about your crappy stay. Good luck!

I wrote an FCR right after getting into my room in ACC. Took the usual nap and when getting up found a note under the door asking if I would meet with the hotel manager. Delta had already called him. He comped the crews dinner and assured me the issues would not happen again. The FCR's do work if you are specific.

That happens to all of us quite often, I had the same experience in AMS, uh, never.

So the most frustrating piece of the entire scenario is the fact that the FCR system, intended to address just such issues, doesn't work. In fact, Deltanet in general doesn't work. I feel your pain. I've had more issues with endless loops like this, failed passwords, locked out etc. with Deltanet than I have ever had with any other web based IT system I currently or have ever used in the past. Even the FAA, and that's saying something!

Anyone tried using the new Self-service page yet?

We could all buddy bid with the guy 2 posts above and this stuff doesn't happen to you and I. Your experience is the same as mine. Can you imagine a world where you FCR, take a nap, and the hotel manager fixes the problem. Connie Sellecca turns down your bed too?
