Thanks. Still not quite sure if PD or X day move is first. I do tend to be overly literal though.

23.E.2.d shows PD and X-day moves on the same line. My interpretation is that they are processed at the same time but obviously in seniority order.

Default MSP trip lengths

As a MSP commuter, I'm advocated to my reps and the RCC for 5 day trips and glad they have them. It cut my commute from 4/month to 3/month.

As they say, one man's trash...

Passrider.com stopped working today to give flight schedules. I need a site that will give me basic flight schedules more than a few days out, for commuting calculations. No prices, no multileg, just for example, all flights dtw to lax on 30 aug, sorted by takeoff. All airlines.

My entire commuting life depends on being able to get this info when i bid my schedule and book jumpseat.
HELP!

I hate five day trips.

That said the real problem with them is the company listens to guys like you, but then builds non commutable five day trips.

Hey notEnuf! Are you reading this?

Schwanker likes 5 day trips. I don't think he's alone.

Xray678 hates them. He's not alone.

You posted this: And the bases where people want short trips (MSP) get more 4s and 5s. Looks like they have things all figured out. RCC should.......nevermind.

What should the RCC do if the preference wrt to short/long trips lacks consensus?

I can only imagine sifting through the RCC comments...

-I hate 5 days...more 3 days!
-3 days are terrible...more 5 days!
-I want more 4 days with an early sign in!
-Holy crap, why all these 4 days with such early starts!
-I want more 1 days!
-What the heck is with all these 1 days!
-I love 30 hour layover!
-Dubya tee eff is up with all these 28+ hour layovers!

One thing would certainly have a high probability of making a lot of pilots happy: Cut back on the 1 day trips in a base where 85% of pilots are commuters. Even pilots who live in NYC know getting to any of the 3 airports is a royal PIA.
