True...I had it overheat right after T/O between SAV and ATL and got it back as we descended through 18k. 😂

Is the holiday pass a positive space pass for your spouse or family or just higher priority? Where I want to take them will require a connection in Atlanta for them and I don’t want to get them stranded.
Thanks

Its a lower priority. Everyone uses S2 around the holidays. The passes are S2B.

S2B is less than S2, but more than S3. Best of luck.

IOW, the S2B your family gets is pretty much worthless if every other passrider (assuming they're riding with an S2-holding employee) wants to use one of their 6 S2s to put themselves ahead of your fam. Pretty good deal, huh? I'm sure Sailingfun will be here soon to put a better spin on it.

Its an optional extra free higher priority than an S3. If they want a full S2, use one of theirs. Simple.

There is no entitlement for a spouse trying to go with a spouse on a holiday to bump a pilot trying to get to/from work on a holiday when the pilot is even willing to burn an S2 to do so. In that case, the pilot using an S2 should absolutely go ahead of the spouse who isn't even willing or able to (because they already used them all up or want to save them for something else).

Sucks. Thanks to our great reroute rules, can't even buy a spouse a ticket because you might not even be where you're supposed to.

Of course the senior spouse could burn an S2 and still bump that guy going to work... Your argument really doesn't make much sense. Don't get me wrong, I'm with you in principle but I also agree the S2B just doesn't buy you much. In my contract survey I asked to trade our S2s for some quantity of PS tickets, think I asked for 3. I'm a plans kind of guy, playing nonrev roulette just isn't my style. It would be nice to plan a vacation with free airfare instead of waiting until I'm on the plane to book the hotel, car, etc, etc...

And speaking of nonrev roulette, I'm going to try and get 5 to TLV in February. I know El-Al is a great backup with that great big 747 they fly every day. Any gotchas I need to be aware of coming or going?
