The combination of positive space home, packed sim schedule and studying, left me with very few times I wanted to get out of the hotel. Uber/Lyft is good for getting to the grocery store, and a rental car for a day or two is good if you just want to get away from the hotel.
Same here for new hire, I went through Budget I think via Priceline with a 'managers' special deal. Basically for $600 during all of new hire they got to choose the vehicle when I arrived. It was a crappy minivan which thankfully broke within the first 3 days then they gave me a small SUV for the duration. Worth a shot Bluto

Question

Question...when using your APD during a reserve month can you drop days that would result in a reserve rules violation. ie. less than the minimum days ON? Thanks.

From what I understand, you can do anything you want with P/D and AP/D (yes...yes...assuming there is reserve coverage) and violate all the 3-99-5 or whatever rules are listed for the bid. But if you start moving X days and days on reserve around, then you have to follow the rules set up for your category.

So the way I look at it is: If they don't have to pay you...no rules. If they have to still pay you...you follow the rules.

I think APD yes you can break grouping rules. PD you have to follow rules. I do not know this is correct but would love to know definitively.

International fleet correct. Domestically incorrect. You can PD a single day within any groupings. I've done it numerous times before on three day blocks.

Hmm....I've been denied numerous times trying to drop down to a 48-hour block of on-call days domestically.

What was the reserve coverage? Only worked for me if reserves available were greater than required. I just double checked a month where I had three PDs. Two in separate 3-day blocks and one in the middle of a five day.

Hmmm... interesting. I've definitely P/D days before where I've ended up with either one day or two days of reserve availability after the drop went through.
