If the company will pay relocations expenses to within 125 miles of LAX, why is 110 at the outer limit of reasonable?

PWA 6.A.3.f.1.
I don’t think the two issues are related in any way. Years ago we did not have a distance for moving. Guys would bid or displace into a closing category and use the paid move to go further away than their original residence. The 125 was simply a negotiated distance the company wanted to stop the above practice. It has nothing to do with reserve.

I understand the need to curb the described practice. However, if the company has agreed to a distance of 125 miles as "close enough" to their new base for relocation reimbursement purposes, why is the same 125 miles or 110 miles too far away for sitting reserve and "reporting promptly" purposes?

I see no reason the two issues are related. One is based on time and one is based on straight line distance. They are completely different sections of the contract. They don’t relate. There are lots of places where you can live within 125 straight line miles but the normal drive time could be 5 hours. This issue has been through the discipline process many times. There is nothing to sea lawyer here.
We have a very liberal short call policy that is enforced with a reasonable man outlook. Let’s not screw it up.

Sage advice.

1400 EDT 5/29. Anyone having issues with Deltanet and/or Travelnet? I can't seem to log on to Travelnet, but Deltanet seems back up now.

I intermittently have issues with internet explorer, but if I use Chrome it will work fine, I'm presuming it's an IT issue.

Dang... 33 years later. Sequels used to be 2 or 4 years. Half the original cast is either dead or unrecognizable. Still a great flick.

Iceman is going to need a cherry picker to get up to the seat.

Don't go looking for Charlie.

Btw. So 33 years later, plus Maverick would already been a few years in... What's he on, a 40 year career?

Or is he doing contract flying at this point?
