From a regional operational standpoint, I can reasonably assume that there will be no request for any alteration in scope in either direction. However—gotta love the pause, if the economic turmoil turns into hyper inflation or a massive market correction during the C2019 negotiations, you can best believe the spin will be hard-charged for scope relief. But don’t worry. Delta people will be able to bump 9E out onto the street and fly our planes.
So the last time the business went down the pooper all the regional pilots lost their jobs, were replaced by mainline pilots, and then after all that thousands were still furloughed? Do tell.

Oh crikey I couldn’t say. I was still in high school but that statement was rhetorical meant for pure sarcasm. The rest was sound though

I'm sorry, but I have to ask, do you work here?
No, I didn't think so. Now run along little starling back to your wholly owned forum and try not to get lost. Wading into the deep end of the big boy pool, well you just might drown, and we certainly don't want that.

The current MEC will not give back any scope. I’m not sure they’ll agree to any concessions. That’s the good news. The bad news is we probably won’t have a new contract for years.

Considering the rejection and approval rates of TA-1 and TA-2 respectively last time around I have full confidence in the Pilot group to reject a poor deal no matter how hard it is sold. Just as important I have full confidence in the Pilot group to pass a good deal no matter how badly it is trashed on SM.
I have the same worry about waiting for years but lets give the new MEC a chance. Although I don't agree with every move they make I want them to succeed (because it means we succeed) and fully support them.
I do hope they put emphasis on what the Pilot group as a whole want, vice catering disproportionately to small but very vocal factions on SM (think DB).

You posted in a different thread that you already were a Delta employee. Now you're saying Delta people can bump you to the street to fly "your planes." You don't know much about this industry, but at least you're burning bridges as you go. I'm sure it will serve you well as you look to further your career.
