And even if you did happen to already have a type it wouldn't matter, your initial training would be the same as the guy who didn't.

Mr. Solo is correct. All you need is an ATP. Use your GI bill to get one if you were unfortunate enough to not do it before the rules changed a few years ago. Also, have you considered PALACE FRONT or PALACE CHASE to get into a reserve unit to fill your 20 years and apply, like, I don't know...NOW?

Seniority is everything in this business. If you wait, you lose. You might consider getting a guard or reserve TR job, while applying to Delta, then get on the line a bit, done with consolidation and probation, then go on mil leave for full-time orders to finish out your 20. I know, Delta hates that, but it's doable from your (and your family's) perspective. Meanwhile, you hold a line number and it goes up as people retire.

Just a thought.

Did he say whether 777 or 350? Could make a difference on next AE's preference. 😀

As of 45 min ago - 777 :)

Well...the 777s already had the "curry fury" in them from previous JFK-BOM and ATL-BOM service. Probably will allow us to uphold the resale value of the 350s by not sending them there. 😂

The state of GA already has everything it could want to brag about when it comes to the reach of the worlds busiest airport.

Delta pre NRA had already really ****ed these senators off, I did my part and wrote my state senator about supporting Delta way back when (they asked us too on deltanet) and I got a btfo reply.

Some of that goes back to the secondary airport that some of the state senators wanted. They were ****ed.

The Governor has stepped in but these guys are going to still look to pounce on delta. And delta will probably still poke at them. Feelings. Theyll drive things. But if I was a state senator and wanted to get at delta, one more route wouldn't be enough even if it serves the interest of a growing but not voting percentage of north atlanta residents.

Casey Cagle went from front runner, with more than twice the cash and votes to having his ass absolutely handed to him.

Politicians should not be idiotic enough to put a special interest ahead of the State's largest employer. In this map, red is where Mr. Cagle gained support. Notice the geographic distribution.

Only because it's Delta IT and common sense often doesn't apply... In PBS, if I want to move vacation from the 7th to the 6th then I want to slide -1 day?
