Also, you will not be able to bid a carryout in the first month, even though you plan on sliding your vacation in the following month. PBS will not allow it.

I bid a reserve line for DEC. If im on x day's DEC 1-4, what will happen if I pick up a carry out trip. How does it effect my pay and number of reserve days in Dec? TIA

It’ll count towards your monthly credit. You basically lose that money unless you go over guarantee on your remaining days. It won’t affect days off at all. You’ll just be working on your X days. Unless your strategy is to try and make guarantee to fill up early and thus avoid working xmas, or to get some early credit to avoid getting called out during the month, there's little benefit IMHO.

That’s right. And you cannot slide the vac on top of any pre-award. Like training, mloa, carry-in, or a coverage trip. It’s not dependent on reserves required.

It’s not dependent on reserves required? So theoretically you should always be able to slide your vacation as long as you don’t have a pre-award?

Yes, just realize you could have 10 days in one month and 4 in the next. I believe you can slide the 10 and the 4 but I don’t think you can just slide a portion of the 10 days to break it up into two 7 day vacations.

Denny

Got ya. So the point that would separate the chunk of days apart is the bid transition date. (Not day 7 of the 2 week award)

You can move your Dec X days to get credit for on call days in Dec. Speaking of credit, all credit on the carry out trip pays in the following month, which is zero unless you break guarantee.

Copy, no pay, but could count as a work day IF I can move my x days. I've never had to move an x day, does that capability start on the 20th?

20th 0700 GMT (Georgia Mean Time)

The monthly PCS timeline is published on the second page of the bid packs, which is much easier to locate than page ??? of the PWA.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 06:42 PM.
