I chuckled a lot when I saw ALPA's "warning." It was framed as if SkyHub is some major threat to our profession's jobs and future, yet it read like it was a basic warning for all social media use.

It’s hardly the doomsday device ALPA is making it out to be. The service isn’t even public, for crying out loud. I can’t figure out the outrage over another Delta employee being able to *GASP* see what your job is and where you are based! The horror!

Same here. iPad Ambassadors have been using SkyHub since Feb/Mar. I’ve found it to be useful for exactly what the company says it’s for: sharing information. Questions generated on the line were asked and answered by the people directly connected to the subject matter. Very effective, in my opinion.

ALPA’s threatened if they can’t exclusively speak directly to their membership. From that perspective I get it. But stating there’s massive privacy threats when it’s not an anonymous forum and only uses your employment info makes their argument laughable.
Did flight OPS rescind the 15.1 IOS update? I'm still on 14.x with no update available.
You mean iOS 12.1? Don’t think it was rescinded. Might take a while for the availability of the update to propagate out to all of the devices after they flipped the switch. Feel free to PM me if it’s still not showing up tomorrow, I’ll try to help.
Turn off the iPad, then back on. After I did that the update was there to install.
You guys are being glib if you don't think SkyHub a threat. And yes, WE DO need babysitting, especially on web boards! How many times have I seen posts deleted here and all over other pages, the CHITshow that is Chit Chat...
This isn't the first web board by the Company either, the first one was, you guessed it... SHUT DOWN. It was an ugly, ugly place. We get all the information we need pushed to us, or we can just email someone. We DON'T need a company wide wailing wall that will, I guarantee you, turn into a gigantic train wreck within weeks of going live. Wait until contract negotiations, when you'll hear what your fellow widget heads really think about your pay and working conditions. And yes, there will be the "White Hat" pilot on there telling everyone how we need to all pull together and SACRIFICE. You think ALPA is busy now? They will have to create a whole new office just to handle this mess, 24/7. Did you know for example it shows your current location when you are logged in?
I've seen all this before, many times, I've been on every pilot board there is. It's all the same, but this time you're handing management the keys to your career every time you go on there and say anything. Remember all those boxes you checked on CQ "Rules of the Road"? THAT's the noose they'll hang you with. This is a honey-trap. I can think of a few folks who are sure to fall right in. Pretty smart thinking by the company. Good luck and tread VERY carefully, I'm staying FAR away from this dumpster fire.

You honestly believe the company went through all this effort just to set a honey-trap? That’s a grade A conspiracy theory right there. If it was a trap as you claim, it wouldn’t be voluntary to participate like it is.
I’ve been a part of SkyHub for several months now and it has been nothing but a great communication tool for daily ops and specific groups that I’m involved in.
It is Facebook, just restricted to Delta employees as members. The problem is the default profile it too liberal with posting and tagging options. I don't want others tagging me or posting on my wall. I think the Union was wrong to tell us not to claim our accounts. IMHO, we should claim our accounts and lock them down with every privacy option available.
