I had to call CS and have them put me in 30 hours of rest earlier this month after a 7 day stretch of reserve. The scheduler was reluctant to do so, since I was unused and going into a golden day. Didn't know it would cause issues with swaps...good to know.
They ended up putting me on rest over my X-day/Golden day, I can't find it anywhere, but does that result in a PB? I can't seem to find it in the PWA/Sched Handbook, but vaguely remember it coming up somewhere along the lines.
But what they likely did was give you an additional 6 hours rest on the front or back of your day off, giving you 30 hours off.

Had reserve 2nd - 8th, 9th golden x-day. Rest started on the 8th at 1130 ending on the 9th 0000. Shouldn't rest have started on the 7th?
Because this is an automatic release at noon, they don’t have to call you and tell you about it. Now if it was a regular X day, I’m not so sure.

I didn't think they needed to do that anyway since any off day would be 24 hours and the adjoining work day would be another 10 to 12 hours on top of that regardless. Maybe they prefer to put it in the system for scheduler awareness or computer coding or something, but I don't see how it would be legally required on our end.
