I hate buddy passes and also hate going to airport on my off days, so I am clueless. I can come up with a thousand reasons to tell him to buy a positive space ticket.

What say you sagely world travelers? Might it be worth the risk for the budget shopper?
I always say “I don’t give buddy passes, not even my sister uses them, sorry”

Thanks, but I’m looking for info more along the lines of
“S2’s pack the cabin from there in early January” or
“always payload optimized” or
“best time of year to come back from Western Europe,” etc...

Or just do as I do, tell them straight up it could be the worst travel experience ever as they are the lowest of the low priority. But - it's cheap and works great on occasion. I don't give out too many buddy passes but when I do, I ensure loads are reasonable, expectations are lowered and they well know they might not go anywhere.

Overall I've had good success but it has to be the right person, the right time, right set of expectations with a flexible plan. If you can manage it, it's worth doing a friend a solid.

Off topic question... Is scheduling required to notify me of my 30 hour rest? I am currently on a 10 day stretch of reserve and I checked my schedule this morning (day4) and noticed I’ve been at “rest” for 5 hours.. I never got a notification and had no idea.

Mine are snapped up by family members with no real issues on international travel. Just be smart and pick the right days. I don’t allow their use from June through Aug.
I have no idea what the going to the airport on days off means.

You must be notified.

Means I seldom partake of our NRSA benefits.

Thanks to you, et al, for the responses!

Heads up, Aeromexico connect has added another dtw flight
This time to slp
That’s 4 adds this year bjx, qro, mty, slp
Zero adds for delta or dci so far.
Those are all perfect c series routes as well as they are being flown by e190

Unfortunately, without a JV agreement that guarantees us a portion of the growth, there’s not much we can do.
