I keep a logbook as well. Keep update it at least once a month. Always fun to put your route map on Google Earth and compare it to previous years

I just answered the phone for the phone survey for the first time. What was that? Why phone and not another internet survey? No wonder there’s so much brouhaha over this stuff... <end rant>

They do phone surveys because statistically they provide a much better idea of what the pilot group is thinking. Internet surveys are less random since a significant portion of the pilot group will never take them.

The stoner polling me was very amused when I gave my opinion of the quality of their survey questions. They invert the 1-5 scale from every other survey which I’m sure skews answers. And if I have to ask him to repeat the question 3 times I think that’s a bad sign.

I’d venture the random sample size is smaller/not as random as it should be too because it comes up as scam likely on my caller ID too. Just some thoughts from one random forum lurker.

Phone polling is skewed as well: To the 5% of people willing to answer a call from an unknown number.

Internet polling gives people a chance to think and formulate thoughtful responses: something ALPA may or may not want.

In other news, why is the word “BREAST” at the beginning of my next MyCrew rotation?

:p

That happens on the phone too when I don’t recognize the number or can’t answer. I get weekends off (see my APC indicator) and fly during normal polling hours. If I’m running between planes in ATL and need to eat, the call is ignored. If I need to talk to someone, then I call them back. I’ve been called a few times according to my missed call history but never taken a survey.
