If you two (OOfff and m3113n1a1) want to use skyhub, fine. But don't post false assumptions as to why the union is recommending not to.

It’s just location tracking, not a big deal. Make sure you take your iPad with you wherever you go so you can stay up to date with all the “happenings!”

Why? Just log in and get them. This is the equivalent of complaining that they no longer put info in your v file.
No thanks. Give me a 10 page base newsletter with the important stuff. I'm not going to spent 20 minutes each time I go to work scrolling thru Skyhub to find the important stuff. |

Make v-files great again! Is this what the union really wants to waste its time saving pilots from?

I saw a story on the news about a week ago about Google and location tracking. Not sure if this applies to an Apple product but I bet it does...
The reporter used 2 phones with one in airplane mode. He then went and visited quite a few locations (I think in the DC area). His phones tracked every move he made and every where he went with GPS data and sent it to Google. The only significant difference was the phone in airplane mode waited until it was out of airplane mode to send the data to Google. This is all transparent to the end user........you and me. Denny |

Denny Speaking of hidden gems, another one most are not aware of is using Chrome or Mozilla browsers, your user names and passwords for every website you’ve ever had a sign on (account) with, are recorded and easily accessible. I’ve shown this to people as well. It takes me all of 10-15 seconds to show you your usernames and passwords on a desktop or laptop. On an iPhone you still need the thumbprint or facial recognition to view the password, but on a desktop or laptop, it’s there to be had. Clean your caches often, and clean them thoroughly. This is unfortunately the world we live in now. |

Denny Ya, I think it's safe to assume that you can be tracked pretty much anywhere with your phone/other electronic devices (cameras in cities). Also, your phone microphone and Alexa are eavesdropping machines. Someone could very well be watching you via your computers camera right now. How does google maps know the status of the traffic, everywhere at all times? It's amazing to me that there are still people out there that seem shocked when they find out that data is being collected off their phones every day. If you're an iPhone user go to settings - privacy - locations services - system services - frequent locations. |

Of course your phone is tracking you, how else do you think google maps knows to show you all the local Irish pubs on your overnights. :D
