Maybe the 350 rocks, maybe it sucks, but either way I doubt the company will claim anything other than they are pleased with their decision to purchase them.
But the skeptic in me asks, " If they do rock why aren't we getting more?"
Yeah, the fictional China hub never materialized, but if the 350 does rock we could easily find other routes for it. After all we are a global airline.
I don't think we are happy with the 350, but who knows.

I wouldn't either. The network guy said they'd love to have something else, but ultimately they aren't the decision makers when it comes to that.
when it's instructors that are creating the rumors i absolutely agree, when it's network or fleet people providing the info it's at least the current flavor (which very well could have changed by the time they left their office and went to lunch).

Disregard. Not the egg one.
I can sort of guess what's going on with the company with 350s.
Our friends already fly 748s, 380s, 346s, 350s, 788s and what have you for us.
We dont need big 350s, we would like a small fleet of 767 sized jets. That's what would make us happy.
We dont do big and long. We do short and small. We love it when our friends service our customers with their big and longs, we will watch that all day and proclaim it's good for the relationship.
Dont know why anyone would cheer that on?

Maybe. But do you really think if the company was not happy with the 350 they would be upfront about it?

However, they were VERY excited about the 330 NEO. Multiple presenters called it a “game changer.”

Last year, at in command, they definitely seemed luke warm about the 350. I got the impression they weren’t going to be exercising the options on the remaining ten airframes until they can get more performance / range out of them (or maybe get the -1000s).

From what I’ve heard from non-pilots in the company, it’s not that the 350 is bad, it’s just that it doesn’t really fit well in our type of operation. But the same folks have heaps of praise for what the 330NEO is capable of. TIFWIW.
