Glad to see the ‘big announcement’ hype is alive and well. What would we do without?

It’s why we all wake up in the morning and ignore our wives and children to see if anything good is on APC

I was flying with an FO who told me that I could conflict my RES schedule AND get paid single pay above guarantee by going to a CX5 or Velvet seminar. When I went to sign up the registration deadlines are well before PBS bid results for that month. If I were to schedule one of these seminars for a Wednesday, would PBS know it was there or could I schedule to be on RES Mon-Fri of that week with a "hard day off" courtesy of the 4th floor?

They will pre-post the event to your schedule before the PBS bid is run. Even if it isn’t pre-posted, it will be caught in the final check that supposedly occurs before the “Go” button is clicked by the PBS admin. That’s what I was told by ALPA.

I suppose you could wait until after schedule bidding and see if they will still allow you to sign up and select a day that conflicts with your sked...

How many retirements in the next 4 years Sailing? Plus 2700.

How many is that per year?

2020-2024 forecast retirements due to age 65 is 2905.

2018 was 353 forecast, 473 actual, so approx 33% more than forecast.
