Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I think DTW220 would be the most likely candidate for the next base.
It's going to be flying out of DTW by then (if it hasn't already started) and in addition to that, it seems like the initial signs of 717 drawdown from non-ATL bases have appeared. Something will fill that void but that's more of 2-5 year plan I'd imagine.
But, if the 717s might be gone in five years, then they'll certainly be relegated to ATL-only just as the 88s are, perhaps only 3-5 years from now.

Yep SEA 220 is my bet for the next base. Delta wants to make sure they win in Seattle BIGLY. They can run all of their West Coast ops out of there and SLC. I actually see LAX as one of the last bases to get the 220 with all the 320 growth there.

I think ATL will be one of the last 220 bases. The coming consolidation of the 717 will cover the 110 seat demand for many years plus there's not as many routes out of ATL that require that range/seat load capacity as compared to other bases. I think you'll see more 321s and 737s used in ATL instead of the 220.

Maybe they'll actually take that level of comprehensive logistics into consideration this time. However the temptation to open bases to save a nickle on hotels or a milisecond in credit has proven to be too great in categories that made far less isolated sense than ATL220.

When MGMT gave their presentation to the BoD on the C-series order, a good part of it focused on the aircraft out of SEA. The then SEA VP Medeiros presented it. Always been a big part of the plan to go against AS.
