I was awarded a new category on the latest MOAB. No training plan has been posted but “Required” documents for that upcoming fleet are already being pushed to my EFB and flagged as must read. Is this normal?

The list taking this long to publish is longer than normal.

Not only is it normal but now you will get duplicate updates on common manuals and the All Pilots Bulletins until the "mystical EFB gurus" remove your old airplane stuff.

Sounds like you had/have a recency problem. Did you get the pop up that asks you for a 15 day (I think) window to schedule it? I don’t know what the rules are if you go noncurrent but I suspect they can do it.
On the bright side you should get paid more for doing it on days off versus on call days. I know that doesn’t help if you had plans…

It’s the age of the Computer. HAL did it! (Or didn’t in your case)

Well that sucks. Just as a side note, there has been a couple of time when I’ve entered the dates just as you did but fell thru the cracks somehow. I’ve called then about a week before the window of days I entered and I get “huh” don’t know how we missed you, thanks for the call. Shortly thereafter it’s on my schedule.

I’ve had similar experiences to Denny. I’ve also had them call and ask if I could do it on days off, but they did say it was only a request. If I preferred I could have expired and then done a requal on my next reserve days.

So I've read the contract and think I know the answer, but not sure.
The scenario is, a 4 day worth ~23 hrs, all block. Weather delays so get ~1 hr of overblock, then rerouted into a higher block turn in the middle of day 2, so now the trip is at +1.5 hrs. But then we time-out at the end of day 2 and are given domicile layover which removes about 4 hrs of flying, taking the trip back down to the original 23 hrs pay.
My question is, do we have any protection for the extra block we flew if later in the trip we go underblock? Or is it just rotation guarantee?
