Ok. Got my schedule for next month. Considering things I’m very happy with it. The one problem is that there is/will be zero, yes zero, open time between Nov 1-23.

I need to put in a couple of white slips but have never used a “any” preference. How do you enter “any” 3 day, 4 day etc.? Thanks

Denny

That would be for swap with the pot, right? For a 3-4 day WS request, you'd just enter the date range you're willing to fly trips, then hit OK. Then search through the links on the next page and you'll find one (under rotation preferences I think) where you can put between 3 and 4 days.

Whoops, you're right. Didn't RTFQ.

He can also enter any constraints to rule out the nasties.

Seriously! I'm working 9 days straight over Thanksgiving. I have a 5-day back-to-back with a 4-day. And Thanksgiving is just about right in the middle of the 9 days.

I'm thinking about using an IVD to drop the second trip. Any other options? I'd prefer to save my APD.

Anybody know why they are re-running ATL320 A and B schedules?

Probably won’t work. Might, but IVD follows same rules and holiday exemptions as an APD.

I'm in a new category this month, so I went through the composite report to see how people senior to me were bidding. There was one guy that, based on his bid, was clearly trying to get about 4 specific days off, only one of which was Thanksgiving weekend. Several people junior to him got those same days off. However, because of the way he structured his bid, PBS couldn't complete his line and he was awarded flying on almost every one of those days. There were almost more red PBS Committee warnings on his bid than actual bids.

Sometimes you just have to shake your head at the people who shoot themselves in the foot.

But always ask...a very junior friend got Christmas off last year with an APD.
