Since when are swaps denied in the month of August because schedules for September are not released?

I’ve had that happen before. They say it’s to make sure there’s no block/duty limit issues created. But aren’t you retiring in sept?

‘Yes……. Which makes me doubly ticked off. The trip I’m trying to swap into is over the same 3 days (Aug 24-26) and actually worth 5 minutes less.

I believe it’s all automated and not very sophisticated. This is why I’m not worried about fully automated airplanes at delta. There’s no way they’d ever invest in that kind of I.T.

I believe there is a cutoff to auto deny any swaps if the trip you are trying to get rid of touches any of the days within the end of the month. I don’t recall how many but I believe it’s 4-7 days prior they auto deny.

Leave it in, when the schedules are posted it will run.

That used to work really good. Sometimes a day or so in advance. But (allegedly) some pinhead whiners (you know who you are) complained because their schedule "changed" when they took a non-binding, out of their way, known unofficial shortcut, look see and their worlds were rocked by the audacity. So then they tightened when even that was available to almost right before the official ones were out anyway.
