Thanks everyone! Your well wishes mean a lot to me. I have thoroughly enjoyed my career at Delta and all the wonderful people (especially pilots) I’ve met. It’s so interesting to me how each of us made it on the seniority list whether it be civilian or military…….Actually that might be an interesting thread to start…
I remember wondering to myself way back when (as I’m sure everyone does) did I make the right choice? There were times I doubted it but I can now honestly say “I chose wisely!”:D I will miss swapping stories in the cockpit and all that but I won’t miss all the extraneous BS and having to keep track of all the changes etc……..I’m not as sharp (my health has never been better though) as I used to be and now is the perfect time for me to exit the fix. I can’t go cold turkey from APC:)…..to many years following this forum on at least a weekly basis……but my posting will be seriously curtailed because I do believe this should be a mostly active pilot forum. Again, thank you all for your well wishes and if you ever have a layover in Seattle let me know and, if I can, I’ll meet you for an adult beverage and/or take you to lunch/dinner at my favorite Bar and Grill. Iaflyer know which one!!!:) Denny |
