What bad info did I post. He did not attend 350 school. As I stated and crew resources put out in a monthly summary none of the copilots displaced had started 350 training. If you have info otherwise please post and we will ask crew resources why they put that info out. I would copy the CR statement here however it’s not permitted. You can reference the June CR news letter.

Probably because that's what he wanted to fly?? I don't remember if he said why he put in for the reinstatement. Maybe he figured it would take a while, didn't expect it on the next bid, who knows. But nevertheless - he was awarded the plane, didn't get to training, then got displaced so he went to the next best thing in his view. Then when the 350 came back up, he went to it again.

Well that’s how are bid process works. He did not however get displaced. He had his bid award canceled and exercised his options under the contract. He ended up having to spend a extra 10 days in school for the short 350 course. CR’s felt it was more important to train CA’s at that time. 350 flights were being canceled for lack of Captains. They stated that none of the displaced 350 pilots had started training.

Based on your own post, were they displaced pilots or not?

Technically, I agree with you that the 9 were not "displaced" because they had not entered/been converted to the A350 category when 9 senior B777 FOs actually were displaced and entered the DTW350B category on an MD/VD in the subsequent bid thereby pushing the 9 out the bottom of the DTW350B category. However, the effect on those nine was exactly the same as if they had been mandatorily displaced to include two of them being reinstated. Again, only pilots who hold an MD can avail themselves of reinstatement (22.F.12).

ia's original post made it seem like he went to training and wanted to contradict what you said. His second post specified otherwise.

I'll eat crow on that... however, your history of poor info remains.

Or call signs...heard Hawaiian 5-0 on the radio tonight. I got a chuckle out of that one.

I loved it when we had flight 88 (Think Oldsmobile if you are old enough to remember)

Not to mention that it was KBP which has nothing to do with the call sign that made it truly awesome.
