Hey guys, new to the Delta forum so I apologize if this has been addressed.

I was just wondering if Delta still takes into consideration how long you took to finish your 4 year degree, what school you went to, and what your GPA was?

I was told that some people don’t get called because it took them 6 years to finish their bachelors. Also a guy with a GPA of 2.9 in mechanical engineering weighs more than a guy with a GPA of 3.5 in creative writing. Any truth to this?

Thanks for the help everyone!

No truth to it, took me 6

Took six years to graduate. Degree in general studies from a medium sized state university. GPA 2.0. Still got hired at Delta. College isn’t everything.

Thank God for that. I’m just trying to have the best app possible when time comes

I might be overthinking this and would appreciate clarification.

Assuming a 2 day RES GS which begins on an XX day and ends on a RES day. If day 1 is 2 hours of block and 2 hours of DH, will the trip pay 2 or 4 hours above guarantee? I believe DH is considered credit and credit pays on the last day of the trip, but I've got this random thought in my brain that keeps telling me that under this specific circumstance you get paid your block and DH instead of just block. Thanks for your time.

Correct. Day 1 on your XX day includes DH and flying Block, so fly slow, hope for a ground stop, etc. :). The rest is applied towards your Reserve guarentee.

Yes, paid like a shadow bid. You were bidding in a category that you’re not qualified right?

Correct. Thanks for the gouge overspeed. That’s what my plan was when I saw the opportunity when bidding for the month. I’ll call then a couple of days before if they don’t remove it themselves.

I personally flew with an FO the other day who was displaced from the 350. He was awarded 350B, then got displaced off 350B to the 330B (previous airplane was the 7ERB). While in 330 training he was reinstated to the 350.

So, he was on his last leg of OE on the 330, then he'd fly the line for a month, then start training after that. He wasn't very happy with it all.

Why did he take the reinstatement?

Probably because that's what he wanted to fly?? I don't remember if he said why he put in for the reinstatement. Maybe he figured it would take a while, didn't expect it on the next bid, who knows. But nevertheless - he was awarded the plane, didn't get to training, then got displaced so he went to the next best thing in his view. Then when the 350 came back up, he went to it again.
