Delta vs. American. I have CJOs at both, and live in a Delta base, but not an American base. Long term goal is WB B flying, and then eventually NB A. What would you do and why?

While both companies carry astronomical debt loads, American comes in first with a net debt of ~$40B vs Delta’s ~$19B. Think of all the creative ways MGMT will finally be compelled to address that pesky debt issue once they can’t use COVID as an excuse anymore. Fun! |

Sounds about right. If you can sit short call, while doing your best Al Bundy on the couch, you be winning in life.

Not even a question.....DL...drive to work...sit short call in your house in your boxers....pad the wallet by picking up short notice greenies....use the extra money to fly you and the wife/girlfriend to International vacations.

In the big picture, both contracts are pretty similar. But imagine that American has an addendum that they require 2-5 days of unpaid volunteer work away from home every single month for the rest of your career, and you’ll have to contribute $100-$500 of after-tax money every month to the union hotel fund. Are there enough other good things about American that would make the contract with the commuter addendum worthwhile?
